I am so excited to share some of the incredible magical synchronicities that have surrounded my book, Free to Be Me: A Memoir of Trauma, Healing, and Rebirth. From the initial writing process to holding the finished copy in my hands, the universe has been guiding this story all along.
The Book Itself: A Story of Divine Timing
My memoir is a deeply personal journey of healing from narcissistic abuse. The core of my story, and the beginning of my healing, is intertwined with a pivotal moment in my life: my marriage to Justin in the first chapter “Bad Bunny”. If you haven’t read it yet, you can read the sample on Amazon. My story is about recognizing a pattern, breaking free, and finding completion.
And what a beautiful, full-circle moment it was to have that completion mirrored in the publishing process. My author copy arrived on Friday, June 13. While many see this date as unlucky, it is considered the day of the Divine Feminine—a powerful symbol of intuition, creation, and nurturing. This also happened to be the 20th anniversary of the day I married Justin. Receiving my book on that exact day felt like a profound sign that this chapter of my life had truly come to a close. It wasn’t just a book arriving; it was a physical symbol of the healing I wrote about, finally in my hands.
The Journey of Writing and Publishing
The synchronicities are throughout my story as well as the entire process of writing and publishing. I felt a sense of alignment that was humbling, magical, and encouraging.
- Doug and I first connected on 11/11, and met on my birthday the next year, and exactly 11 years later our divorce was finalized- a powerful symbol of our transformative relationship and shared purpose.
- Our divorce was finalized just as I was ready to write about our wedding.
- I reconnected with my friend Janet just as I was writing about our Costa Rica retreats.
- After I wrote about my healing in my teenage home in Syracuse, my mom had a similar dream.
- As I wrote about two friends who didn’t know each other in the chapter, they were on the same shuttle to the airport at the exact same time I was writing about them.
- Olivier, my great love, worked on Drops of God season 2 exactly a year after I first became captivated by the series, the month before we met.
- I wrote about seeing the cupid on my door February 16th on the same day a year later.
- My dog River’s vaccination appointment in France was on the same day I was writing about her getting her health certificate in the US to fly to France.
- I received a (dental) crown on the very day Doug approved his chapters for the book.
- My arrival in France on May 25, which is Mother’s Day in France, coincided with the celebration of the Mary Magdalen’s festival.
- I finalized my book for publication the same day I departed for a trip to Portugal, where I received a powerful energy upgrade.
The universe was clearly supporting me to bring this story to life.
I believe these synchronicities are a testament to the power of our own healing journeys. When we do the work, the universe responds, and sometimes, it gives us little winks along the way to let us know we are supported.
